A Wine Weekend That Turned Into Something Completely Unexpected

I went to the Good Food & Wine Show expecting the usual food-and-wine experience. I imagined tasting a few interesting wines, discovering new flavours, and perhaps leaving with a shopping bag full of things I had not planned to buy. What I did not expect was to become fascinated by a tea ceremony. That was one of the surprises of attending this food event Brisbane has to offer. There was plenty happening around the venue, from food tastings and cooking demonstrations to conversations about Australian produce and drinks. Yet, somehow, the quieter experience of watching tea being prepared caught my attention. There was something wonderfully different about it. The ceremony was not simply about drinking tea. It was about slowing down, paying attention and appreciating the small details.
