Full face CPAP Mask: Get rid of Sleep Apnea!

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy is the widely used method to cure sleep apnea. It was initially developed in 1981 by Professor Colin Sullivan at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia. The modern CPAP devices are considered the best non surgical treatment to get relief from snoring and sleep apnea. The CPAP machines deliver air into the airway through a scientifically designed nasal CPAP mask or full face CPAP mask. The flow of air maintains adequate pressure while a person breathes in, to keep the airway open. A CPAP machine is set to a constant pressure level with little deviation from the continuous pressure.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or CPAP masks come in different shapes and sizes and are to be chosen according to the shape of contours of the face and personal comfort level. The full face masks spreads over the user’s nose and mouth while delivering the pressurized air through the tube. They are ideal for people who breath through mouth or through nose as well as the mouth. Nasal CPAP mask may lose pressure if the user opens his or her mouth during sleep which renders the whole treatment in effective. Since full face mask cover the entire mouth area, the user does not have to worry about the pressure that is intended to hold the airway open, with air flowing out through the mouth.
Full face mask regulate the air towards the mouth without forcing it straight into the nose of the user. In this way, they prevent the harmful impact of constant air flow pressure heading directly into the nasal passage and prevents potential nose bleeding or dryness and itching in the nose during the therapy.
